Trinder Park station precinct
The Trinder Park station precinct is being upgraded as part of the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project to improve accessibility, safety and customer experience.
The Trinder Park station precinct upgrade is being delivered as part of the LGC Rail Package. The LGC Rail package scope of work includes doubling the number of tracks between Kuraby and Beenleigh from two to four, removing level crossings, modern station upgrades, and improving access and connectivity along the complex 20-kilometre project corridor.
Trinder Park station upgrade
Trinder Park station will be relocated to the edge of Acacia Forest Park and the park ‘n’ ride moved to Candish Street, minimising environmental impacts and improving connections to the station from both sides of the rail corridor.
The updated design also includes a new road-over-rail bridge linking to Acacia Road, together with walking and cycling connections.
These designs have been further developed by the LGC Rail Alliance following initial design work this year and incorporating feedback from prior community and stakeholder consultation.
Level crossing removal
We are closing the Trinder Crossing level crossing between Railway Parade and Station Road, Woodridge. A new road-over-rail bridge will provide a cross-corridor connection at Acacia Road, with a realigned Railway Parade connecting through to Smith Road.
Walking and cycle paths will also be provided on Smith Road, Railway Parade and Acacia Road, as well as across the rail corridor.
Community drop-in sessions
Drop-in information sessions are being hosted to provide an opportunity to ask questions and speak to our team, one-on-one. The dates, times and locations of upcoming sessions are listed on the right-hand side of this page.
Make sure to have your say before Friday, 19 December 2025.

Key features
The Trinder Park station precinct upgrade will provide:
Track straightening works
The curved section of track near Trinder Park station, which was originally constructed in 1888, is one of the sharpest on the South East Queensland rail network. Straightening the curve through the Trinder Park area will improve track speeds and sight distances, contribute to reduced journey time and improved reliability for customers. The alignment will also allow the new Trinder Park station to be located on straight track to ensure a high standard of accessibility for customers.
Most importantly, the track straightening in combination with removing the existing Trinder Crossing level crossing will significantly contribute to improving future rail operational safety.
