Kuraby station precinct

The Kuraby station precinct is being upgraded as part of the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project to improve accessibility, safety and customer experience.

The Kuraby station precinct upgrade is being delivered as part of the LGC Rail Package. The LGC Rail package scope of work includes doubling the number of tracks between Kuraby and Beenleigh from two to four, removing level crossings, modern station upgrades, and improving access and connectivity along the complex 20-kilometre project corridor.

The Beenleigh Road level crossing removal is being delivered as a separate package of works, which includes upgrades to local roads to improve safety and ease traffic congestion.

Kuraby station upgrade

The updated design includes a new footbridge, lift and stairs to improve station access and provide better connections across the rail corridor to local destinations in the community.

The design has been further developed by the LGC Rail Alliance following initial design work this year and incorporating feedback from prior community and stakeholder consultation.

Community drop-in sessions

Drop-in information sessions are being hosted to provide an opportunity to ask questions and speak to our team, one-on-one. The dates, times and locations of upcoming sessions are listed on the right-hand side of this page.

Beenleigh Road level crossing removal

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the updated Kuraby level crossing removal design in September and October 2025. A summary of the engagement outcomes and how feedback has informed the project will be shared with the broader community later this year.

The removal of the Beenleigh Road level crossing is being delivered by Bielby Hull Joint Venture, as part of the Open Level Crossing Removal (OLCR) package.
