The Loganlea Station Relocation project is relocating and upgrading Loganlea station to better connect customers with nearby health, education, and community services.
The upgrade will improve accessibility and safety, with dual lifts on each platform, an elevated pedestrian connection over the rail line, conveniently located bus stops, kiss ‘n’ ride and park ‘n’ ride facilities, and better lighting and security features.
The existing station will remain open to customers while the new station is being built 500m to the south opposite Logan Hospital.

Customers travelling by train through Loganlea will now get an up‑close look at the new Loganlea station.
With the old rail tracks decommissioned and trains running on brand new track, services are now safely travelling through the construction zone while work progresses on the new station.
This track shift marks a major milestone for the Loganlea Station Relocation project.
Construction of the platform and pedestrian footbridge is underway with the first section of the footbridge installed over the weekend.
On 21 February 2026, a 480-tonne crane lifted the first section of the pedestrian footbridge over the rail corridor and into place, marking a significant milestone in the progress of the project.
The Loganlea Station Relocation (LSR) project isn’t just building a new station; it’s building future careers. As part of the LSR project, our School Work Experience Program is giving local high school students a rare, behind-the-scenes look at how a major construction project comes to life.
Over a two-week construction block in November 2025, the LSR project team installed 144 modular panels, each weighing 5 tonnes. Upon completion, the platform will span 162m in length and 9m in width, forming the structural heart of the new station.
