A new dual-track heavy passenger rail line from Beerwah to Birtinya will provide the fastest and most reliable way for Sunshine Coast residents to travel to Moreton Bay, Brisbane and beyond. The new rail line will tie into the existing North Coast line, north of Beerwah station.
The high-frequency, high-capacity service will provide reliable and accessible public transport from the rail station at Birtinya through to the Sunshine Coast Airport. Community engagement is now open. Get involved and help shape the future of travel.
The Mooloolah River Interchange Upgrade is a critical component in the delivery of The Wave. Early works are underway, marking a significant first step towards delivering this legacy project for the Sunshine Coast.
