Planning future bus connections across the coast
The Queensland Government carefully plans and reviews networks using customer feedback, ticketing data, and infrastructure insights to create a cost-effective system that meets community needs.
Better bus connections
Service enhancements are being planned across the Sunshine Coast network to complement The Wave, improving the availability and accessibility of local transport options. These enhancements aim to create a more connected and convenient experience for both residents and visitors.
The Wave will support the extension of local services, enabling the introduction of new and extended bus routes, additional trips, and longer operating hours.
These changes will improve connections between key destinations, stations, and stops along the North Coast Line and The Wave, meeting the growing needs of the Sunshine Coast community.
There will be convenient connections to major centres and popular destinations including:
- Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Caloundra and Noosa
- University of the Sunshine Coast
- Sunshine Coast University Hospital
- Sunshine Coast Airport
- Sunshine Plaza
