Overview
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is planning to upgrade the Warrego Highway – Mount Crosby Road interchange to alleviate congestion and increase safety for motorists using this section of the Warrego Highway.

PROPOSED DESIGNS
Option 1
Features
- 2 dual-lane bridges to replace the existing bridge
- Signalised north and south intersections to replace the existing roundabouts
- Variation of loop ramp for eastbound off-ramp to be investigated
- Active transport paths for walking, bike riding and mobility devices.
Impacts
- Some private property resumptions are anticipated
- Minor changes to residential and business access on Coal Road and Mount Crosby Road.
Option 2
Features
- East-facing ramps at Moggill Pocket Arterial connected to Mount Crosby Road via 2 one-way service roads south and north of Warrego Highway
- New 2-lane bridge provides an alternative connection to Karalee, with a connection via Junction Road
- New signalised interchange at Junction Road/Moggill Pocket Arterial/Rea Road
- Service roads on either side of Warrego Highway with active transport paths for walking, bike riding and mobility devices
- Minor upgrades at Mount Crosby Road as needed to accommodate demand increase
- Mount Crosby Road bridge to remain in its current state.
Impacts
- Some private property resumptions are anticipated
- Almost negligible changes to residential and business access on Coal Road and Mount Crosby Road.
