The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has developed a proposed design for a safe, direct and connected bike route on Taylor Street, Toowoomba.

This section of bikeway will connect Toowoomba's integrated principal cycle network from the CBD to the western suburbs of Toowoomba.

Suitable bike facilities between Tor and Boundary streets will encourage more people to ride bikes more often for employment, education, services and general exercise.

The improvements will provide a safe, active transport option in line with the Queensland Cycling Strategy (2017-27).

TMR is now inviting feedback on the design options for this 2.65km section of bikeway, which has incorporated community feedback from the initial planning phase for this bikeway in 2021.

Your additional feedback will help TMR understand local issues and design riding facilities that will best suit the local community.

Submissions will close on 19 December 2025.
