Planning investigations are complete to upgrade the intersection of Nambour Connection Road and Diddillibah Road in Woombye.

Investigations have identified traffic signals at the intersections with Diddillibah Road and Blackall Street as the preferred solution, with design now underway.

More than 24,000 vehicles use this section of Nambour Connection Road every day and traffic volumes are expected to increase as the Sunshine Coast continues to grow.

Signalising these intersections will provide the following benefits:

• safer turning movements for vehicles
• enhanced intersection capability
• a more efficient local road network.

The community is invited to view the planning layout and provide feedback to help inform the final design.
