Overview

When Brisbane Metro M1 starts in mid-2025, it will run high-frequency services from Eight Mile Plains to Brisbane City. As a result, some existing services will double-up with the new Brisbane Metro and other city express services. TMR will be making changes to a number of services and reinvesting the freed-up buses to improve other Logan routes.

The changes will provide more local services and better connectivity for the Logan region.

About the changes

TMR will be making changes to routes P569, 545, 554, 565, 566, 570, 571, 576 and 578 when Brisbane Metro M1 commences in mid-2025.

We will introduce 28 new trips each weekday and 10 each on Saturdays and Sundays, totalling 160 additional trips per week.

The changes are designed to make the most of Brisbane Metro services to free up buses so we can use them elsewhere to provide the following benefits:

  • more local trips on routes 565, 570, 576 and 578 (total of 160 extra trips per week)
  • adding 13 trips per weekday on route P569 and frequency during peak travel times 15 minutes or better (65 additional trips per week)
  • extending routes 545, 554, 576 and 578 to Griffith University station providing more connections to the busway and high-frequency Brisbane Metro services
  • expanding route 570 to run seven days a week including public holidays by adding 10 services on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
  • running route 545 along the Rochedale busway extension to avoid traffic delays on Logan Road.
  • running route 565 along Clarks and Drews Roads to provide all-day services seven days a week to this area.
