Overview

The Dayboro Road link study will establish a vision for Dayboro Road, between Gympie Road and Youngs Crossing Road, as this corridor is an important link connecting Moreton Bay to Brisbane.

The Moreton Bay Regional Council (MBRC) is working to upgrade Youngs Crossing Road at Joyner where it crosses the North Pine River. This upgrade includes the intersection of Youngs Crossing Road with the state-controlled Dayboro Road.

The Dayboro Road link between Gympie Road and Youngs Crossing Road is a 2-lane, undivided road of about 2.2 kilometres. It carries an average of more than 16,000 vehicles per day, of which more than 1000 are heavy vehicles.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will identify possible future improvements to Dayboro Road in support of local government plans to progressively upgrade Youngs Crossing Road. TMR is collaborating with MBRC to plan for and deliver infrastructure to cater for growth in the Moreton Bay region.
