The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is undertaking a planning project to make bike riding and walking an easy, safe and enjoyable way to travel along the Dawson Highway between Glenlyon Street and Harvey Road in western Gladstone.

The planning project will identify the on-road and/or off-road cycleways and shared pedestrian pathways needed along this 5.4km section to best integrate with the existing road and local cycling network.

TMR has consulted with the community and feedback received will help identify priorities for the project and develop solutions to meet community, road safety and active transport expectations.
