The first round of community consultation took place between March and November 2020.
During this time, feedback was collected from the community about improvements they would like to see on Cairns Western Arterial Road between Redlynch Connector Road and Captain Cook Highway.
This was conducted through face-to-face meetings, correspondence, telephone calls, online surveys and online feedback tools. During the first round of engagement over 500 submissions were received from the community.

This feedback will be used to inform the development of options for improvements on Cairns Western Arterial Road between Redlynch Connector Road and Captain Cook Highway.
Following the development of the options TMR will seek further feedback from the community before finalising the preferred upgrades.
