The preliminary master plan for the Captain Cook Highway, Cairns CBD to Smithfield, Upgrade is now closed for public comment. The plan will be further assessed during the business case phase to determine and confirm the optimum corridor solution.

Community feedback will be used to inform the development of the business case, due for completion in mid to late 2023.

Consultation closed 28 February 2023.
