The Bundaberg Integrated Transport Strategy is being jointly developed by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and Bundaberg Regional Council to develop an overarching framework that aims to integrate plans and policies, current and future, relating to the movement of people and services.

The Strategy will inform decision-makers on ways to manage the transport system and land use to best address these needs. The Strategy will form the basis for developing and managing infrastructure and major assets to improve mobility and accessibility.

As part of the planning process, TMR sought input from transport users in the Bundaberg Region about their experiences to identify key performance issues with the existing transport network.

The feedback collected will be used to develop a strategic transport plan for local and state roads in the Bundaberg Region.

This planning will assist both TMR and BRC with prioritising upgrade options that will be considered for future construction funding.
